Get The Cover Look: Solenn Heussaff in Preview Magazine (June 2011)
Celebrate the glamour of the seventies with disco-inspired makeup as seen on the gorgeous Solenn Heussaff on the cover of Preview this month. The cover look for the Temptation Island stars was a mix of frosted purple lids and glossy red lips visible on the runways of Etro and Gucci this season.

To achieve this look, prime the face first by applying toner, moisturizer and makeup base before applying foundation. I applied MAC Strobe Cream on Solenn’s cheekbones and a bit on temples for a natural glow before putting on foundation.
I applied a wash of purple all over Solenn’s lids using MAC Pigment in Push The Edge from the lash line to the crease, blending outwards towards the brow bone. Apply the same pigment using a smudging brush all around the lower lash line for a smoky effect.
Line the upper lash line with a stiff eyeliner brush using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack.
Curl lashes and apply mascara on upper and lower lashes. Finish the eye makeup look by using false strip eyelashes. I like MAC Lash No. 3.
Apply a satin bluish-pink blush high on the cheekbones such as MAC Sheertone blush in Dame, blending towards the temples. If the look calls for red lipstick, l avoid applying color on the apples of the cheeks as I would normally do.
Finish the look by applying the classic MAC Russian Red Lipstick, a bluish-red matte shade that suits most skintones, seen here in limited edition Wonder Woman packaging. Apply MAC Cremesheen Glass in Double Dare on top of the lippie for extra shine.
